Motorola Announced New Mid-range Handset with Android 2.3 Gingerbread
Motorola has revealed a new Android Smartphone – the Motorola XT531 that comes with a 3.5 inch HVGA display with capacitive multi-touch screen with 480×320 pixel resolution. This new mid-range budget handset has a sleek design and it comes with the Android Gingerbread 2.3 update.
The handset comes with an 800 MHz processor with 512 MB of RAM and offers wireless connectivity through 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Other features include: a 5 mega pixel rear camera with flash; a VGA front camera that supports video chat; FM Radio player; 3.5mm audio port; GPS; and, e-Compass; and, support for Google Services and tri-band 3G Networks.
It is assumed that the handset will also feature Moto Switch – a new user interface that allows users to switch between modes that are assigned for different purposes.
The Motorola XT531 measures a mere 11.95 mm in thickness and weighs at just 114 grams. It packs a 1540 mAh battery that offers around 8 hours of talk time and a standby time of 28 days when in 3G mode.
The handset will be released in India in the coming two months and there is no word of the pricing yet.
